Crops & Varieties: Whole Roasted Tomatoes

Part of the backbone of our Winter CSA shares will be our delicious whole roasted tomato puree. Tomatoes are picked, sliced in half, sprinkled with salt and roasted at high heat. We then puree and can the final product -- the best way to save the season!

Quick Tips:

Use as a base for salsas, soups or pasta sauce -- just like we do at the farm!

Add a bit to any stir-fry or sautee.

Use in any recipe that calls for diced tomatoes -- while our stuff is pureed, it holds up well in recipes like chili that require chunks of tomatoes.
