Employment Opportunities at Tomato Mountain

We welcome people interested in learning about growing organic vegetables and fruits, and actively participating in the work of sustainable living. We have opportunities available on the farm and in the Chicago area.

Farm Worker

The farm employs several workers each season. Workers enjoy learning about sustainable living and organic farming while cultivating, harvesting, and working in the processing kitchen. Apply here.

CSA Delivery Drivers

We’re looking for a few drivers for our Tuesday and/or Thursday early-morning (midnight start) CSA delivery routes. Must have a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record, a cell phone with texting, and be very reliable. This position can be coupled with selling at one or more farmers markets. Contact if you’re interested.

Farmers' Market Sellers

A farmers’ market employee is the face of Tomato Mountain to the public, so we’re careful to put interested, knowledgeable, and informed employees behind the table. You’ll train with experienced market sellers, make a trip to the farm, if you'd like, to see how and where our products originate, and, for those who are interested, there will be an opportunity to help out at the farm with a big harvest (like during peak strawberry or tomato season) so you can really speak from experience.

Relationships with our employees are important, too. We know that our farmers’ market sales staff is integral to our success, and we welcome the opportunity to develop a continuing relationship from season to season, or finding another place in our ever-growing operation to use your skills. Apply here
