Bacon wrapped dates

Dates, bacon, oven. Could that be any easier?

Whether you’re throwing a party, just having a few friends over, or loafing on the couch alone, there is nothing more heavenly than a little bacon and date snack. We eat these more often than we care to admit! Probably because they are so darn easy to assemble.

By easy to make, we mean it is so easy to make that it should basically be illegal. Just cut bacon strips into halves (or leave them as they are) and wrap the date, and secure with a toothpick (or not). Cook in the oven at 375 for 25 minutes or so. That’s it.

Wanna really take it to the next level? Stuff the date with an almond, olive, or a bit of wild ramp chevre and you’re basically a gourmet chef.

Didn’t eat them all? They store well wrapped in the fridge and heat up like a caramelized dream for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Not into pork? The carrot bacon wrapped dates are equally divine, just take a bit more work.
