Maple yogurt popsicles

Sugar is more addictive than cocaine! It feeds your diseases and is one of the primary causes of inflammation. Want a better way to manage your stress, anxiety, hormones? Need your kids to calm down? Want an increased libido? Feel like your brain is broken sometimes? Do yourself a favor and cut out processed sugar. Your body will thank you with what feels like extra years on your life and extra hours in your day once you’ve got a processed-sugar-free body rolling.

It takes a while to fully detox from sugar, and, while you do, you will likely crave something sweet. We crave ice cream of some sort. Our current method of feeling like we are feeding the sugar craving but still avoiding it is called maple yogurt popsicles.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/4 cup yogurt

3/4 cup milk

3/4 cup maple syrup

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix well, put into a popsicle mold, add some sort of popsicle stick, freeze. Don’t have popsicle molds? Use ice trays with toothpicks or muffin trays with random plastic forks. They keep for a few days in the freezer!

ADDITIONS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Add some berries or berry compote and you’ve got a berry maple pop. Add cherries and a bit of bourbon and you’ve got an old fashioned pop. Add a tablespoon or two of cacao and a bit of vanilla extract and you’ve got a maple fudgsicle (highly recommended). Don’t do dairy? Word to the wise - anything you can make into a smoothie, you can make into a popsicle.
